Day 162--5 Bookworms for The Pet Washer!

In April of 2012, Kid Lit Reviews contacted me to let me know that another reviewer named Erik was interested in The Pet Washer. He had seen the review of my book on Kid Lit Reviews and became interested in reviewing it himself. On April 20, I contacted Erik and mailed him a copy of The Pet Washer.

Erik reviews childrens books on his blog titled, "This Kid Reviews Books". You see, Erik is ten years old and he's been blogging since he was eight. His blog is well-read and a wonderful place to discover great books for kids. Erik is already working on his first novel--he's going to be an author to watch in the future!

"I loved Cianna’s ”never-give-up” attitude. Ms. Alvarez described the setting of Windym really well, I really felt like I was there and could see everything that was happening! I also really like the cover art. I know my description of the plot of the book makes it sound like a total “girl” book, but I think it is really a great book about friendship, opening your heart and eyes to other people and accepting yourself for who you are. I think boys would like the book too! I give “The Pet Washer” 5 out of 5 book worms!"

Erik is professional, polite, humble, and smart. I'm so impressed with him that I contacted him for an interview after the review of The Pet Washer was released.
